In this webcast, Excel expert David H. Ringstrom, CPA shows you how to create dynamic accounting reports for any month of the year on a single worksheet. Many users set out to build a worksheet for each month of the year, which can be cumbersome to revise. Instead David will show you how to use worksheet functions like VLOOKUP, OFFSET and SUMIFS. End-users will be able to choose any reporting period as well as department/division with just a couple of mouse clicks. The session also demonstrates how to use Microsoft Query to link to your accounting package or exported reports so that you can create a set-and-forget link to your accounting data in Excel.

  • Use Excel's OFFSET function to dynamically reference data from one or more accounting periods
